Broken Thoughts, Pieced Together.

Disclaimer: I am a believer.

This is the age of rage and contention. And we have been born here, where one is farthest from god and closest to deterioration of mankind. When we enter the process of life, we have absolutely no will or desire. So during our lifetime(s), whatever we use, we are bound to return. But as we grow up, we start accumulating a debt on us by enjoying sweet fruits of the karma that we have not even achieved. It’s like using credit and paying for it in future. We forget giving back the goodness into the world and keep living an unreal life of luxury and pleasure. ‘What you sow, so shall you reap’. And instead of putting the effort of sowing seeds of kindness, we simply reap the rewards of others. That makes us a victim of future sorrow and delays others getting their share of peace. While we have invited the beast of regret, I believe others will be wisely taken care of by the almighty.
Debt debt debt. Do you realize debt of money is a small stupid thing but it is money and desire that is the source of all the personal and spiritual imbalances in the world!
People just try to find happiness by chasing it. Sadly, happiness doesn’t even exist. Because for me, something that has no stability is just an illusion.
Okay so now you are thinking ‘how can happiness not exist?’ Let’s define happiness, in my standards; happiness is having only what is required and in the optimum amount. Should be satisfying our need, not greed. And how do we know what is optimum? When it doesn’t make us insecure. Anything that doesn’t make us insecure i.e. gives no fear of losing it, is the ONLY happiness. I’d rather call it peace. And I tell you, no little or big amount of wealth can give you any kind of security. Yes we need money, but enough to survive, enough that it doesn’t blow us out of our minds and we forget that life is much more beyond all that glitter and gold. So let’s put it in one sentence, life is all about keeping oneself at peace, not trying to reap happiness based on our desires.

We got to be strong to smile at our sorrow and be supportive to that of others. Come out and realize that if one is sad, it is nothing but a process of paying back the debt and only inviting more peace in life. And don’t let yourself be bothered by the misery of the other, trust me, it is being taken care of, very wisely.
The world is cruel, agreed. But one can’t close their eyes to it, because it won’t change anything. This is a challenge, keep your eyes half open, half closed. That way, you are aware of the outside world, but it won’t influence you since you are alive inside as well, in the world of truth and serenity. You NEED to be aware of the ruthless world, only then can you set a standard for yourself to achieve, a standard that is higher and better and spotless.

"He does not make one suffer for no reason nor does He make one happy for no reason. He is very fair and gives you exactly what you deserve."

Ferrari Ki Sawaari- What a ride!

The movie touches your heart intensely, with such well chiseled characters, of a father being an ideal example of humanity to his son by fighting every immorality against all odds; a son in awe of his ‘papa’ and following his path of justice whatever it takes; and a grand father who is a prey to the wickedness of this world and trying to escape this reality. The movie forces you to believe in the existence of such an unbelievably pure and selfless family. Vidhu Vinod Chopra movies always make you believe that people like that still exist. He gives those people an identity and a confidence to keep on fighting, with dignity. Moreover, he gives us a hope that the end of the world is not near, since there is some little goodness left. And believe me; even that slight amount of pure honesty is enough to fight all the injustice, if united. Only if we are ready to support the noble and imbibe that honesty in ourselves can there be a hope to live with pride.
The movie also shows a woman who is very sharp in her professional life, who perfectly knows how to make use of things and people whenever required. Or the bank manager who refuses loan because of defaults. I felt that the movie tried to represent the people stuck on that thin line between selfish and selfless. The best part is that it is shown that at the end of the day, having a good heart and soul, and being able to be the reason to somebody’s happiness gives you ultimate satisfaction. The story does have bad characters (the politician or Mr. Dharamaker- the people who sit at the top and exploit their power), who are shown to have a publicly successful life, but a very hollow lifeless soul. It makes a lot of sense, and makes any average ordinary person feel special and lucky, makes you feel rich with the amount of morality you have, not your bank balance.
I wept with the movie a few times, but when the movie ended I cried uncontrollably, even when the titles started rolling up! I realized that I was crying because it was the end of the Ferrari ki Sawaari- LITERALLY! My ‘Ferrari ki Sawaari’ was the journey into the beautiful world of justice. I suddenly snapped out of that world where all the goodness united to defeat the evil, to the world around me in reality, where people pull you down like crabs. I was suddenly broken to realize that there is no Rustam (the father) anymore and Kayo, the little boy and no victory over injustice. What a sad reality.
But this movie ignited in me the hope that every injustice will always be heard and justified in the court of morality, and that one just needs to stay sincere and enjoy the ride, of this life called Ferrari! =)
